Com Leon Michels no órgão, Homer Steinweiss na bateria, Nick Movshon no baixo e na guitarra Sean Solomon, The Mighty Imperials faz lembrar o funk do mestre James Brown. Começaram a gravar este disco por volta de 1999, mas por problemas técnicos (tipo falta de registro essas coisas) o álbum ficou parado, e em 2004 lançaram essa pedra. Até então os integrantes faziam parte de outros grupos de peso, como Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Antibalas, Soul Fire, El Michels Affair. Sem falar nas 4 faixas que conbtam com a voz do magnífico cantor gospel Joe Henry. Funkit!
