As informações vieram do twitter de seu amigo e parceiro de trabalho De Leve. O enterro será hoje às 15:30 no bairro do Maruí no Barreto Niterói. Speed foi um dos pioneiros do rap em Niterói e ao lado de Black Allien um dos principais expoentes do rap nacional e carioca, atualmente havia lançado o disco 'Meu Nome é Velocidade'.

"A intenção inicial desse projeto foi de produzir rap instrumental em cima de samples de estilos clássicos como o bom Jazz, Bossa Nova e Rare Groove em geral."Calmão. "A música brasileira no projeto significa a nossa intimidade com a mais pura essência da musicalidade da nossa pátria amada e o Jazz significa uma paixão por um estilo musical fino e clássico que seguirá eternamente influenciando gerações, com também a Bossa Nova." diz Omig One.

Os manos lançaram o álbum no Japão! The Mighty Imperials feat. Joseph Henry - Thunder Chicken

Com Leon Michels no órgão, Homer Steinweiss na bateria, Nick Movshon no baixo e na guitarra Sean Solomon, The Mighty Imperials faz lembrar o funk do mestre James Brown. Começaram a gravar este disco por volta de 1999, mas por problemas técnicos (tipo falta de registro essas coisas) o álbum ficou parado, e em 2004 lançaram essa pedra. Até então os integrantes faziam parte de outros grupos de peso, como Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Antibalas, Soul Fire, El Michels Affair. Sem falar nas 4 faixas que conbtam com a voz do magnífico cantor gospel Joe Henry. Funkit!
